Matthew Carlton is the founding member of Carlton Law LLC, in Decatur, Georgia, where he focuses his practice on homeowners’ association (HOA) legal issues and disputes. Whether you are an individual homeowner needing representation or need an attorney who can represent your association, Matthew Carlton has the determination and experience to bring your case to a favorable conclusion.
Matthew Carlton earned his law degree from Emory University in 1999. After law school he served as a clerk for Honorable Robert E. McDuff and the State Court of Cobb County, Georgia. He’s also worked for the Atlanta, Georgia, law firm of Weinstock & Scavo, where he handled criminal defense and DUI cases as well as cases involving real estate, civil rights violations, personal injury claims and premises liability claims. Matthew Carlton currently lives with his family in Decatur, where he is a member of the Decatur Business Association, a board member of the Decatur Education Foundation, a volunteer mentor for Emory law students and a former president of a neighborhood civic association. Mr. Carlton also coaches youth soccer and founded the Decatur Football Club.
Mr. Carlton maintains a compassionate and personalized approach to his practice, recognizing the stress that HOA disputes can often cause in his clients’ lives. He is passionate about helping others by providing professional representation with personalized attention.
